Limited Lifetime Warranty
All Kowa Spotting Scopes, Binoculars, or other optics product sold through a North American Authorized Kowa Dealer come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state. Kowa American Corporation warrants all of its binoculars and spotting scopes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty, subject to normal wear and tear, to its original owner when purchased from an authorized North American Kowa dealer or online retailer. A product registration form must be completed within 30 days of purchase.
Kowa warrants all binoculars and spotting scopes to be free of defects in materials and workmanship and to function satisfactorily under normal conditions during the lifetime of the product to the original owner. If at any time these products are found to have defects in materials or workmanship, Kowa will, at its discretion, repair or replace them free of charge, when requested by the original owner. Kowa cannot honor the guarantee of Kowa products that have been disassembled, modified, or worked on by anyone not authorized by Kowa. Warranty is void if damage results from unauthorized repair, alteration, abuse, or misuse. The warranty does not cover defects due to normal wear and tear. Kowa shall use reasonable efforts to repair or replace any binocular or spotting scope covered by this warranty within 7-10 business days of receipt and will notify the customer if the repair should require more time.
Please be aware that Kowa American Corporation's Limited Lifetime Warranty applies to products purchased domestically. If you find a product online from overseas, the warranty will be different and the service of the product, if a problem should arise, would also have to be done overseas. Limitations of Normal Wear and Tear
Lens caps and covers, cases, pouches, and straps are covered for their lifetime to the original owner but are not covered for accidental loss.
Optical coatings may develop small blemishes through normal wear and tear or abuse under various environmental conditions over time and the determination of coverage is at the sole discretion of Kowa.
If the product is not covered under warranty, Kowa and/or an authorized Kowa dealer will contact you with an estimate of the repair price.
All product returned for warranty and repair work must have RMA number and may be obtained by calling (800) 966-5692 or (310) 327-1913. Products returned without an RMA number will not be accepted by our technical repair and warranty team. When packing your Kowa product for return shipping, be sure to write the RMA number on the box where it can easily be seen and be sure to provide your full name, complete return shipping address, email address, a daytime phone number where you can be reached, and the reason for returning the product, on a large slip of paper inserted into the box. Kowa recommends that you ship the product via UPS, fully insured, to ensure the ability to track your parcel. Kowa, nor its dealers are not responsible for damaged or lost packages or for shipping costs associated with the product being shipped to Kowa. Upon receipt, you will be contacted by email or phone to notify you if the repairs will be performed under warranty or if there will be a charge associated with the repair. Usual turnaround time for repairs is approximately 3-4 weeks (pending receipt of payment and availability of parts). You will be notified if parts are in stock or if they have to be ordered at the time your product is reviewed by our technical team. Billable repairs are subject to return shipping charges via UPS Ground. Expedited return shipping is available at a higher cost. You will be notified if parts are in stock or if they need to be ordered. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise requested. All billable repairs must be paid in full prior to shipment. Billable repairs are subject to return shipping charges via UPS Ground.
